Baguio City, Philippines Travel Guide

Enjoy The Cool Breeze in Baguio City, Philippines

Baguio City is one of the countries top tourist destination. It is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. It is also known as the city of pines, but frankly speaking Pine trees in the city are disappearing fast. The city is still a favorite destinations for Filipinos due to its cold weather. It’s now faster to go to Baguio due to the opening of TPLEX (Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway).

GETTING AROUND BAGUIO CITY

Jeep and taxis are the main transportation in the city.  Some areas are walk-able  like  the central business district. You may ask the Taxi to tour you around the city with a fix rate, this may be  convenient but expensive.

WHERE TO STAY

Since Baguio is a mountain resort city there is no shortage of hotels and inns. Transient houses are a popular choice for many families and groups. Since there are a lot of choices, it is really hard to recommend a place to stay. Below is a good list from trip advisor.

WHERE TO EAT

If you are staying at a transient house cooking with fresh mountain produce would be ideal. The city has a lot to offer from famous food chains to street food establishments. There are hundreds of good restaurants in Baguio but below are my personal favorites:

  • Good Taste Restaurant | Carino St, Baguio, Luzon, Philippines | 4437959
