Since last year Japan has “relaxed” its requirements for Filipinos wanting to visit Japan. Just this week I got my single entry visa, I was really happy that my request has been granted. The most agonizing part is waiting for the call back to pick up your passport. Whether it is approved or denied is up to the embassy but as long as you give all the needed requirements then you should be okay. Below are the steps in acquiring a Japan Tourist Visa without a guarantor.
STEP 1: Prepare Requirements
Broken lamination of the photo part is not accepted.
(Must have signature and have at least two (2) blank pages.)

6:Daily Schedule in Japan (TAIZAI YOTEIHYO) (Down Load Page)
7.Bank Certificate (original)
8.Income Tax Return Copy (Form 2316) (original and photocopy)
Step 2: Submit all requirements to accredit agencies. ( see accredited list here)
I submitted my documents to Reli tours since its conveniently located inside Megamall. the staff that I talked to was not that friendly and they failed to notice me the moment they received my passport. I had to call them for a status before they confirmed that its ready for pick up.Well at least they got the job done.
A friend mine recommended Discovery tours since they only charge P 800.00, I believe they are the cheapest. For complete list of accredited agencies click here.
Step 3: WAIT!
The worst part, the normal turn around time given is 5-7 working days but it may be less than that.
I think most people would ask if how much should be on my bank? well, the embassy has not stated a minimum or maximum amount. If you have other questions and concerns I suggest you to call the accredited agencies or contact Japan embassy.
My trip will be next week and I’m preparing my Japan adventure page to make sure that I will write my blog on schedule :).
